3 tips to stop being fooled on the Internet!

A direct debit appears on your bank account without you knowing its origin? You may be the victim of an online scam.

Internet scams are on the rise, and can cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in a matter of weeks. We agree that we would do well without his expenses...

So to say stop to these scams, we give you 3 tips, oh so precious, for a more serene bank account!

Our 3 (golden!) tips to avoid scams

1. Protect your personal and banking information like a loot.

Your personal information can quickly be diverted and used by malicious people. Avoid giving information such as your full name, address or telephone number unless it is necessary.

Also, do not share your credit card number with unknown people.

Another way to protect your bank details: you can use single-use bank cards. Many banks now offer this virtual card service, to limit the risks, by defining an amount and/or a date for the online purchase.

2. Use fortress-worthy passwords and software.

Use strong, hard-to-guess passwords. The more complex your passwords are, including numbers, upper and lower case letters, and special characters, the more you will avoid hacks on the internet. However, avoid using the same password for multiple online accounts.

You can also install security software, such as antivirus software, firewalls, to protect your computer, and even your phone.

Thus, you will have a more secure connection, against viruses and malware.

Of course, don't forget to update your security software so that it remains fully effective.

3. Be on the lookout for theft and questionable offers.

Be alert to online scams.

Online scams are common and take many forms:

  • Phishing emails
  • False advertisements
  • Fake websites.

So beware of offers that are too good to be true.

Do not hesitate to check the Google reviews of a website, or to search for the site on Google to have certain comments from Internet users, and their feedback. If the site is not recommended by users, run away from this beautiful promise!

With a little common sense, and a hint of distrust, avoid buying products with prices that are too low, which are attractive and behind which scams can hide.

Whether on social networks, by email or on advertisements, avoid clicking on suspicious links, on online contests or lotteries, and remain vigilant as to the content of messages.

Small tip: make sure that the legal notices and the general conditions of sale are clear. These mentions are sometimes a little boring to read, but they are important to know who is hiding behind the mask of a web page.

These small rules can prevent you from falling into an internet trap. So, a few precautions should be taken to avoid the risk of losing your treasure. And with a few shares of this article, you will most certainly be able to help those around you and many other people!

Don't hesitate to relay it on social networks and even leave us your opinion on these tips to give so you don't get fooled anymore 🙂

    Hello
I notice an amount of €49 debited in the list of my purchases by credit card and as name: lbrskl.com; by checking, it's an intermediary who promises, in exchange for payment, to go back to the evil creditor and help me stop the subscription. it looks like a fraudulent agreement between the so-called creditor and this site. What do you think?

I made a payment for TEMU and their mystery packages there were testimonials from people on Facebook
And I said to myself €3? And I took the ing visa card reader, and did ONE operation! Which generated two payments, 1 of €2 and one of €1,99 and I have two clubs INCLUDING TEMU where despite the fact that they tell me "these are not their official sites" so why am I becoming a VIP client at TEMU? And they took €43 from me and these were purchase credits in their stores? If not them? Why did they refund the €43? While I have had several withdrawals since and from the current account and Visa? If they steal 133 euros from each naive person and the 43€ therefore, 177€ but apart from that it's not them! But who cares?
They have mystery packages! And I got robbed!
And how did they get the €43? Saint Nicolas ?
1000 idiot customers and they have yots! To steal from the poorest
Thank you very much temu you got me! But you won't have me anymore!
